Don’t Forget: Brethren in Christ Heritage Service This Sunday

On Sunday, June 4, the Brethren in Christ Historical Society will host its annual Heritage Service at the historic (and beautiful!) Ringgold Meeting House in Maryland (right).

The event’s main speaker will be Warren Hoffman. Congregational singing — always a highlight of a gathering like this — will be led by Vernon Martin.

I’ll be in attendance to cover the event for the search for piety and obedience. Those who can’t make it should be sure to visit the blog next week for a recap and some other media from the service. It’ll be like you didn’t miss a thing!

I attended one of the services at Ringgold back in the 1980’s (I think!). As you said, the singing was a highlight for me.

Any possibility of recording the singing and posting a link to it on your blog?

Aubrey, you beat me to the punch! My plan is indeed to record the singing (and the speakers) for use on the blog. Perhaps a “search for piety and obedience” podcast is in the works? 😉

  3. Warren Sherman says:

    This sounds wonderful.
Sure wish I could attend. Warren and Vernon have been my friends for years and would sure enjoy singing with them.
