I’m Going to Temple University!

I’ve been accepted!

Over the last month or so, I’ve received two acceptance letters from Temple University: one from their History/Public History program and another from their Religion program.

In both departments, I will have the opportunity to pursue a master’s degree in American religious history. Both programs offer excellent scholarly preparation and provide me with the chance to work with renowned faculty members, including David Harrington Watt, whose scholarship on American Evangelicals in the twentieth century has been formational in my academic development.

I’m thrilled by the opportunities presented by both programs.

Congrats, Devin. Watt is a fine scholar of evangelicalism and American religion generally. I actually reviewed his first book–Transforming Faith. It is an underrated gem. It was actually one of the first books I ever reviewed.

“Transforming Faith” was the book that made me want to study evangelicals. I agree that it’s an underrated gem. Thanks for your congrats.
