Essay Wins First Place in Anabaptist Research Competition

My essay “Seeking Wholeness on the Silver Screen: Toward an Anabaptist Theology of Film” was just awarded first place in the Sider Institute‘s 2010 Anabaptist Research Paper Competition!

The piece was written during my undergraduate work at Messiah College. A version of it will appear in the April 2010 issue of Brethren in Christ History and Life, the scholarly journal sponsored by the Brethren in Christ Historical Society.

I’m thrilled and humbled by this recognition.
