As The Search for Piety and Obedience reported (albeit with short notice), the annual Heritage Service at the Ringgold Meetinghouse took place on June 2. The event, sponsored by the Brethren in Christ Historical Society, included a capella hymn singing and brief talks by a variety of people, including Rev. John Leisey, pastor of the Stevens United Zion Church. (The United Zion Church is one of several denominations descended from the eighteenth-century River Brethren.)

Over at the Facebook fan page for the Brethren in Christ Church in North America, In Part editor Kristine Frey has posted some images from the service, including some great shots of the Ringgold Meetinghouse, one of the oldest still-standing church buildings in the Brethren in Christ Church.
